Please read these key terms before submitting a Join Space enquiry. They are designed to make fees, responsibilities and leaving rules clear from the start.
I have read the terms — start my enquirySpace partnerships are for approved driving instructors (ADIs), eligible PDIs and people exploring instructor training. A formal partnership is subject to the required DVSA status, licence, insurance and suitability checks.
Instructors are self-employed. Nothing in the partnership creates an employment relationship.
The part-time partnership fee is £36 per week. The full-time partnership fee is £63 per week.
The applicable fee, payment method and any agreed start date will be confirmed in writing before the partnership begins.
An instructor joining Space from another driving school pays a one-off, non-refundable school-transfer and onboarding administration charge of £270.
Space will confirm whether this charge applies before an agreement is signed.
The instructor must supply a suitable dual-controlled tuition vehicle that is properly insured, taxed, has a valid MOT where required, and is roadworthy.
A roof box is optional. If requested, the one-off roof-box charge is £120. The roof box becomes the instructor's property and does not need to be returned if the instructor leaves Space.
There is no compulsory roof box, vehicle lease or branded-car requirement.
Space will aim to introduce prospective learners where local demand and instructor availability allow. Pupil introductions, lesson hours, income and any particular area are not guaranteed.
Instructors must maintain appropriate professional standards, protect learner information and comply with applicable law, DVSA requirements and the agreed Space code of conduct.
Either side may end the partnership by giving two weeks' written notice, subject to the full written agreement and any immediate safeguarding, legal or serious-conduct issue.
If an ADI leaves Space, they may continue teaching their existing learners. The ADI remains responsible for communicating any arrangements directly and lawfully with those learners.
If a PDI is unsuccessful on their final Part 3 attempt, they must return Space learners to Space so that their learning can continue with an eligible instructor.
These website terms are a clear summary for prospective partners. They are not the complete partnership agreement.
A full written Partnership Terms and Conditions document will be supplied before anyone joins. No applicant is accepted until that agreement has been reviewed and signed by both parties.
The enquiry form is for suitable candidates who have read these terms. It does not create a partnership or take a payment.
